Longboard Art Contest Rules
Eligibility
Age Requirement: Must be 18 years old to enter, or with the help of an adult if under 18.
Void Where Prohibited By Law: Any disputes arising under the terms and conditions of this contest will be governed by the law of the State of Utah, U.S.A.
No Purchase Necessary to Enter or Win: You can download the longboard shape templates from here (bottom of page).
Contest Entry Guidelines
No Copyright Infringement: All artwork must be original, not contain any copyrighted material and be created by the person submitting the artwork.
Artwork Must Not Contain: All submitted artwork must not contain any nudity, drugs, drug references, gore or blood.
Artwork Must Contain: All submitted artwork must contain at least one of the Kahuna Creations logos (bottom of page).
Artwork File Types: All submitted artwork must be either an Adobe Illustrator (ai) or Adobe Photoshop (psd) file. Please also include a PDF, JPG or PNG version of your artwork. The longboard template must be the original size as when downloaded.
All Artwork Must Be Submitted Via Email: All art submissions must be emailed to info@kahunacreations.com. If the artwork file is too large to submit via email attachment, please use a free WeTransfer link (wetransfer.com). All email submissions must have your name, phone number, email address and preferred social media account and username.
Technical Difficulties / Support: Kahuna Creations cannot be responsible for entries not received due to technical issues and accepts no responsibility for technical support of any entries.
Guidelines and Judging Criteria
Appropriate Content: Artwork should fit into the Kahuna Creations brand. Which includes longboards, skateboards, surfing, water, Pacific Islander culture. All submitted artwork must be in good taste, and respectful of the wonderful and amazing Pacific Islander culture, if applicable. Offensive submissions will be immediately disqualified.
Artwork Judging: Judging of the artwork entries will be filtered by the Kahuna Creations Team and the winner chosen via social media votes. Kahuna Creations will narrow the entries down to the top 5, and then post them to a social media vote to help decide the winner.
NOTE: If your artwork doesn't appear in the social media vote, that doesn't mean we didn't like your artwork. We may request to use your artwork (credited and compensated) at a later date.
General Conditions
Artwork Use Authorization: By submitting your artwork you give Kahuna Creations authorization to post and use your artwork for marketing, social media and on products. We will give the artist full credit for the artwork.
Kahuna Creations Reserves The Sole Right To Adjust Contest Rules Without Notifying Contestants : Based on the volume of entries or legal requirements, contest rules can be changed and updated without notice. Contest participants are responsible for checking the site for changes, and should review the rules prior to each submission.
International Participants: If a winning participant is located outside of the United States of America, they are responsible for all shipping and import taxes to receive their prize.
Prizes
All winners will be announced on social media. The winners will be notified via email. The winners will receive a complete Kahuna Creations longboard (includes longboard deck, trucks, bearings and wheels) with their artwork on it, another Kahuna Creations longboard deck only with their art, Kahuna Creations Adjustable Big Stick and Kahuna Creations apparel.
